Environment — The Hidden Secret of Success
Environment — the general surroundings you have about you including location, home space, friends, activities you usually engage in, etc.
I’ve been taking classes and courses and coaching and watching YouTube videos from such people as Ken Mack (retired at age 25), Grant Cardone (billionaire), Frank Kern ($500,000,000 in sales), Alen Oletic, Billy Gene, Chris Duncan ($20,000,000 annual sales), Anthony Powell (billionaire), Eric Spofford, Alex and Leila Hormozi, etc.
Interestingly, I have found a common thread between almost all of them — environment.
What I mean — and what they mean — is this; friends and your home environment will literally shape your future. Your location may or may not play a big role but it is something you need to be aware of because it’s different for everyone.
Your friends care about you, you care about them. But don’t hang out with and don’t take advice from those friends who have not already done what you plan to do. Find new friends who have done what you dream of doing and they will help you get there.
Your home environment likely has negative triggers or influences that affect your perceptions, your beliefs and your aspirations. If you need to change your home environment to support your goals, do it, regardless of what you need to do.
Location is the same. If you are experiencing negative triggers or negative influences, change your location. That could mean moving across the street, cross town, cross state, cross country or to a new country (Dubai anyone?).
This is hard. The road to travel is filled with sweat and tears (literally), sleepless nights, moments of pain, fear, doubt. But you don’t stop when you stumble, (and you will, over and over again), you get up, dust yourself off, and put one foot in front of the other and keep going.
But if you’re serious about your success and that success is much bigger than where you are now, you’ve got to do it.
If you’re happy and content with where you are now, in home, life, wealth and friends, change nothing. Why should you if it’s what you want? Why change anything if you are okay with where you are? Your friends love you right? You have a decent life, right?
Don’t change “just because.” Change only if you have to; only if your heart leaves you no choice.
If you yearn for more — a bigger life, bigger income, more excitement, more fun, more responsibility, more challenges equal to the self you perceive yourself to be, you have to be willing to sacrifice everything.
Ruthless. You have to be ruthless with yourself. Don’t look back, just keep moving forward.
Change everything if you need to. And the biggest changes you must make are within your own heart.
Find your fears and defeat them, find your demons and slay them, find the ghosts and banish them.
Find the friends you need and hold them, find the love you seek and bury yourself in it, find the home and location that builds you into the person you’ve always wanted to be — and embrace it.
To experience more than what you have, you must be more than who you’ve been.
To get those things you haven’t had, you must do those things you haven’t done.
Victory is never so sweet as when the path you’ve taken is littered with defeat.
You got this.
You can’t fail, if you don’t quit.
Choose you. You deserve it.
