Confusion — Day 3 of the 100 Day Challenge: Zero to $10k a Day

Yesterday I was working with AI to map out a strategy to get to $10k a day in sales, that would lead to crafting a step-by-step plan to do it.

Here I am, chatting away with AI, tossing ideas back and forth, clarifying some, tossing out others, and we start putting together a concept of what to do and how to do it. No plan yet, still too early for that, we’ll get to that tomorrow, “Day 3” I tell the AI.

And I’m thinking, “Wow! This is so exciting! It’s so much fun. Putting together a strategy and a plan to make some money, (as long as I actually don’t have to do anything that will actually make money) and then,..” “Wait. What!?”

Yeaahhh,…

Aversion.

I have a clear, distinct and strong aversion to making money.

Is that just online?

Or is that in general?

I’ve made millions for other people, but never for me.

Why?

I’ve made a few thousand, even $180,000 once — in 10 weeks, (with $189,000 in expenses — oops),but — — what is this?

I started Recoding — took a free class with Chris Duncan and got his book “You’re Not Broken.”

Super good book, you have to get it.

And the “recoding” I have done so far has led me to set this lofty goal for myself and initiate this 100 Day Challenge — publicly.

So it’s working, so far.

But I need more. Obviously.

And I’m wondering. Where is this “aversion” coming from? Is it from my mom who always used to tell me as I was growing up that I was, “good for nothing,” that I would, “never amount to anything,” and that only criminals make money?

Or is it from my brother who told me, “You have to know your place.” And who literally died trying to make that change (making a better life than his born-into place) for himself?

Both?

Probably.

But what does knowing that do?

Does that help?

I’m also guessing there’s more wrapped around those two issues, and that’s okay.

And, I’m also guessing, that it may not be absolutely necessary to know the specific details of the underlying core issue or issues.

Recoding should address even those things I am not consciously aware of.

So two things I seem to need to do on a daily basis from now on:

1. Recode. Chris Duncan states it takes about a year to recode all that programming that no longer serves us and recode with programming that does; that suits the life and the lifestyle we seek — if we do it 6 days a week for 12 months. (yikes! what did I get myself into?)

2. Do it anyway. It seems imperative that I have to find at least one money making activity each day and engage in that. Just do it.

That may mean sending out proposals, writing and posting content, and generating leads for affiliate marketing, making calls (Oh. No. — (another aversion)), or — whatever is necessary.

Simple enough — but hard as hell.

Anchors. Pitfalls. Obstacles. Roadblocks.

Yeah, I’ve got them, let’s see if I can break them.

Onto to Day 3 — And actually Doing something…..

Have you ever felt a similar aversion? What strategies do you use to overcome internal roadblocks? Leave a comment below.
